Have arrived in New Zealand

November 24, 2014

Posting by Barb:

We arrived in New Zealand, Marsden Cove at 6:00 am this morning. We have cleared customs and bio security left our boat this morning with a full garbage bag of our goodies. They even took the frozen Chili that I made and the spaghetti sauce that Dennis made. Cooked and frozen but still a hazard? Oh well, we caught a Yellowfin and we now have some nice tuna steaks in our freezer.

We had a great easy passage. All is well on board. We will be doing some road trips in NZ with Becky before her return to Minneapolis on the 11th of December.

We will soon update the blog with stories of our trip to Fulaga, the most beautiful place in Fiji.

  1. Capt. Craig says:

Glad to see that you made it back to Kiwi land. I notice that the bureaucrats are pretty much global now. Next thing is that they will be analyzing our farts for greenhouse gas production!
I got my Old Bo back from the Boffins yesterday and it only cost me $4300.00 but I now have a new carb, two reworked cylinders, a new strobe, and a whole bunch of other nit noy shit and a new annual that says my airplane is safe to fly for another year. I am really having fun with my toy and fly- in breakfasts and lunches are a “thing” here in Florida. Met a crazy Aussie who has a helicopter right around the corner and we are going to trade air time. Life is good and I keep knocking on wood!
Baby brother is arriving on Thurs from the great white north so we will be giving him the grand tour including a ferry trip across the St. Johns River which we have built up in his mind as akin to the ferry ride from NL to NS but in reality the ferry is an old beat up barge that will hold two cars and is powered by a skiff that was built in the late 1800s and has holes in the deck. Gonna love to see the look on his face:)
Have a happy Thanksgiving you two. Stay safe!
